My name is Rosa Maria Leonard.
I was born in Cuba and moved to Sweden in 1994. I am a trained opera singer, music therapist, and music teacher. I graduated from the Opera Academy in Havana in 1994, obtained my degree in Music Therapy from KMH in Stockholm in 2007, and earned my Music Teaching degree from Stockholm University in 2013.

Music has always been at the center of my life, until 2020, when I began to paint. I had always longed to paint but never quite dared to do so. During the Covid pandemic in 2020, I finally found the motivation and began painting, inspired by the works of Hilma af Klint.

I have always been passionate about art and have visited many museums in various countries to admire the great masters. When I started painting myself, I drew inspiration from artists such as Gustav Klimt, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Marc Chagall, among others.

Through painting, I have discovered a deep sense of joy and inner peace. I love blending colors and often say that, for me, painting is a form of therapy.

What started as a hobby has become an essential part of my life. Many people have told me that my paintings make them feel happy, and I continue to paint to share that joy—both with myself and with others.
